COVID-19 Information

We at Tri-City Colonoscopy Clinic are committed to the health and safety of our patients and staff. This remains our highest priority.

We are continuing to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely as it evolves.

Please continue to  monitor yourself for symptoms of COVID-19. These symptoms include, but are not limited to, fever, cough, and difficulty breathing, and symptoms may develop up to 14 days after exposure.

If you should develop any of these symptoms, please stay home and call the clinic to cancel your scheduled appointment. This is to avoid contact with others and help reduce the spread of the virus.

For more information, please contact Public Health at 519-575-4400.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this time.

March 20, 2022

Effective March 21, 2022, the province of Ontario is lifting most of the remaining COVID-19 restrictions, including mandatory masking in most settings. Mandatory masking, however, remains in effect in healthcare settings for at least another month. As such, we kindly ask that you wear a face mask that covers both your nose and your mouth and ensure that it remains in place throughout your visit at the clinic, unless otherwise advised by a staff member. We are pleased that we are able to continue providing care to our community, and we are working hard to ensure that this happens in a safe manner, as the health and safety of our patients and that of our staff remains our top priority.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us by telephone at 519-650-2777, or by email at info@tcc-clinic.com. We appreciate your understanding and continued patience.

More information on the Ministry of Health guidelines and restrictions, as well as upcoming changes, can be accessed here.

December 21, 2020

On Saturday, December 26, 2020, at 12:01 am, the province is entering a period of lockdown in order to help curb the spread of COVID-19. Lockdown measures will place a variety of restrictions and closures on a number of non-essential services, as per Ontario's COVID-19 Response Framework. As of right now, Tri-City Colonoscopy Clinic has not been mandated to close, and we plan to remain open to provide care for our valued patients. If you have an appointment booked in the coming weeks, your procedure will move forward as planned.

The safety of our patients is of utmost concern, and our stringent cleaning measures and physical distancing efforts will continue as per usual. In addition, further screening has been implemented at the booking and confirming of appointments, as well as at admission to the facility. Please bear with us as we work through another challenge and continue our efforts to provide high quality and safe care.

If the situation changes and Public Health or the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) issue new guidelines that include the closure of Tri-City Colonoscopy Clinic, we will make every effort to contact each and every patient who will be affected by the closure.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us by telephone at 519-650-2777, or by email at info@tcc-clinic.com. Your continued patience and understanding is very much appreciated.

July 6, 2020

A little more than a month has passed since we began operating under this new normal. We have implemented new policies and procedures that focus on keeping our valuable patients and our staff healthy and safe, while still meeting our high standards of providing effective, efficient, and quality care.

As per Public Health guidelines, we are required to follow up with every patient after their procedure to determine if COVID-19 symptoms have developed since being seen at Tri-City Colonoscopy Clinic. If you have had a procedure at the clinic, you can expect a call from us two weeks after your procedure. We will be asking you if you have developed any symptoms such as a cough, fever, runny nose, difficulty breathing, or any other new symptoms that may be suggestive of COVID-19. If you are showing symptoms, we will ask you to get tested at any testing facility and to notify us of the results; in this way we can ensure that appropriate steps are taken to provide the necessary follow up for all our patients and staff members if required.

We appreciate your continued patience, understanding, and cooperation!

May 22, 2020
Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your healthcare team. As the province is beginning to reopen, we too are taking steps to begin resuming services for our valued patients. We are tentatively reopening on Monday, June 1, 2020.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic situation, we have made some changes to our policies and procedures to keep our patients and our staff safe moving forward. When you come in for your appointment, please be mindful of the following:

-    Wear a mask or other face covering to your appointment
-   Family members/rides should not wait in the clinic. Please ensure that your have contact information for the person who will be driving you home and our nurses will contact them by telephone when you are ready to go home.
-    Bring minimal belongings with you to your appointment
-    Be mindful and respectful of physical distancing
-    Use hand sanitizer frequently and use good handwashing techniques
-    We appreciate your kindness and patience as we navigate this new normal!
Note that each referral is reviewed by our physicians and then triaged based on urgency - please be patient as you await a phone call from us.
We appreciate your continued understanding, patience, and support as we move forward, and we are eager to once again begin providing care!

April 6, 2020

March 20, 2020
Due to further developments with the COVID-19 pandemic, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) has mandated that all non-essential service clinics be closed. As such, Tri-City Colonoscopy Clinic will be closed until further notice. The situation will be reassessed on an ongoing basis and updates will be provided as appropriate.
If your appointment is one that is affected by this closure, rest assured that we will make every effort to contact you and speak with you in person.
If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us via email at info@tcc-clinic.com or through our Facebook page. You may also reach out by phone at 519-650-2777; though your call may not be answered, messages will be checked daily.

Thank you for your continued understanding as we work through this together.

March 18, 2020
In the interest of the health and safety of our patients as well as our staff, the decision has been made to temporarily suspend operations at the clinic. This will take effect on Monday, March 23, 2020 and the situation will be reassessed on a weekly basis. If your appointment is one that is affected by this closure, we will be making every reasonable effort to contact you in a timely manner.
We appreciate your continued patience and understanding.
